Rent Our Historic Space

621 Gallery Inc. is a nonprofit contemporary art exhibition and gathering space offering diverse experiences in Tallahassee. The community gains access to quality art and interactive opportunities through our programming. We are located in a former 1940s lumber warehouse in Railroad Square. 621 is funded by local and regional grants, art sales, and fundraising events. Your rentals help us raise money for future exhibitions and programming!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Rentals including setup and cleanup are not scheduled during gallery hours nor other scheduled events. Date and times for set up/clean up must be agreed to in advance by both parties.

The 621 MAIN Gallery space is approximately 2,000 sq/ft (70, x 30’) and can host up to 80-100 people at a time, which will be discussed. The space has no AC, neither cooling nor heat and as part of a bigger building--ambient noise may occur. Depending on the date requested for rental, we may have an exhibition installed in the space or an event planned. If you can be as specific as possible when requesting dates we can do our best to accommodate your needs.

All rentals, except for rentals to non-profit organizations, are subject to 7.5% sales tax. Non-profit organizations must provide a copy of their IRS determination letter.

The Rental Agreement is exclusively for the 621 MAIN Gallery space and adjacent restrooms.  Although the building also houses the gallery storage areas and the 621 Store---these spaces are not part of the Rental Agreement and are not to be accessed by event organizers or attendees.

A deposit of $100 is required to reserve a calendar date and is due upon submission of the rental agreement.  The deposit will be refunded within two weeks after the event, provided there are no damages, or additional charges related to time, overages, or services,  as outlined in this agreement.

Rental events may occur between the hours of 11 AM and Midnight.  Rental parties must complete all clean-up duties and vacate the premises by 12:30 AM, at the latest.  The rental term begins at the point access is granted to 621 Gallery space and continues until the Renter and guests vacate the premises and remove all gear, supplies, trash, and property. This includes any time necessary for tear-down, load-up, and/or clean-up.  It is the Renter’s responsibility to accurately manage the event to ensure it remains on schedule. “An over-run” fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each hour the event runs over the pre-determined and agreed-upon times, will be assessed.

UNDERAGE DRINKING/DRUG POLICY:

Under no circumstances are underage drinking or drug use of any kind on 621 gallery property or at any 621 events permitted. If underage drinking or drug use occurs, 621 Gallery is not responsible for legal consequences; all liability in this instance will be placed under the rental party during the period of the rental agreement.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Changes to this agreement may be made up to 2 weeks prior to the event date. After that date, all details of this contract are binding. The deposit payment is refundable upon cancellation up to two weeks before the scheduled event.
