Melissa Davis is an acrylic and oil painter based in Tallahassee. Davis graduated from Florida State University with her BFA in painting in 2020. Davis creates vivacious works, invoking narratives of universal connection, emotional reckoning, and rebirth. Davis encodes psychedelic revelations within painted matrixes of light, entangled limbs,and roots. She urges viewers to see their own souls reflected in the abstracted sprites that illuminate her richly painted world.
