621 Gallery is a nonprofit arts exhibition and programs space located in Railroad Square Art Park in a former 1940s lumber warehouse. The original gallery space was established in 1981 and then incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1989.
The governing force behind 621 Gallery is the Board of Directors who are members of the Tallahassee community with an interest in sustaining the arts. With the help of dedicated volunteers and interns 621 Gallery continues to be the primary outlet for contemporary arts in the region.
-
621 Gallery exists to platform significant conversations around our diverse communities, support artists careers, and reduce barriers to engagement with the arts. Our audience is connected to shifting cultural landscapes and meaningful ideas that empower.
-
We believe that artists are essential to the fabric of the community. We strive to steward, develop, and support their ideas as facilitators of examination, stimulation, and provocation.
We believe in a community of individuals that express themselves freely. We recognize the worth and agency of every individual within a greater context.
We believe that we are filling a need by mediating conversations and empowering communities to grow.
We believe in bringing meaningful programming into the Capital, by broadening audiences’ exposure to new ideas and artists.
-
Programming at 621 Gallery includes: literary reading series, evenings of music, theater, dance, and various other performances, involvement with FSU Schools of Theater, Dance, and Visual Arts, First Friday opening receptions, family workshops, and more!
-
621 Gallery is funded by local and regional grants, art sales, and fundraising events.

621 Gallery is a non-profit contemporary art space that has been open to the public since 1981. Located in the Railroad Square Arts District of Tallahassee, we operate almost entirely through the efforts of volunteer staff and generous donations from our sponsors and members. There are countless of ways to get involved and show your support.
The 621 Gallery Internship Program provides on-the-job training and learning experiences for college students in related fields of study, such as art history, arts administration, dance, journalism, accounting, business administration, and hospitality.
621 Gallery is always looking for new board members with backgrounds beyond the arts to help enrich and sustain our programming. The officers of the board are comprised of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Our members help us fulfill our mission by directly supporting the contemporary arts culture of the Tallahassee/Big Bend region. Your contributions, no matter how small, help 621 sustain our programming in addition to cultivating that will help us better serve our community.
